I reject your reality and substitute my own

The title of this post is a quote from Mythbusters’ Adam Savage whose reality frequently isn’t quite to his liking as machines he constructs fail spectacularly in a ball of flame.

It’s also indicative of the mindset of some parts of the “reality-based” media.

When last we came across Providence Journal columnist and head of the National Council of Editorial Writers’ “Civility Project” Froma Harrop, she was calling Tea Partiers terrorists and insisting that civility was nothing more than letting other people have their say—prompting her to delete all critical comments and prohibit others from weighing in.

In an article today, Harrop takes a look at the Democrats loss of Anthony Weiner’s seat in a D+5 district that last elected a Republican in the 1920s and offers this insightful opinion:

If the 2012 election were held today, Republicans could very well have their heads handed to them.

Harrop’s veins must contain pure Kool-Aid.
