Just go away

Former Democrat vice presidential nominee and presidential hopeful John Edwards and his wife want to extend their 15 minutes of fame.

Despite John Edwards' extramarital affair that rocked his marriage, his wife described their union as a "love story," albeit an unconventional one.

Elizabeth Edwards told WJLA-TV in Washington late last week that she wants her marriage to work, and that her husband has been supportive as she continues to battle breast cancer.

"John said, 'Perhaps not the great love story that we hoped, but maybe a great love story nonetheless," she said.

Edwards added: "'Til death do you part, because that's what I want."

Yeah, a great love story – if Nicholas Sparks wrote those sorts of love stories, he’d be begging on a street corner.

  1. I used to be sympathetic toward Elizabeth Edwards. But no longer. She's as much a media whore as her husband and as willing to play for the cameras. She's a badly written soap opera in search of a sponsor.

  2. "’Til death do you part, because that’s what I want."

Is Edwards saying he wants his wife to die already? That is a creepy comment to make when your wife has suffered from cancer.
