She said it

Now that the Democrats hold the House, comments like this one from Rep. Nancy Pelosi are going to get more scrutiny.

From Fox News' "Special Report with Brit Hume":

Major Garrett (voiceover): Asked if it was more important to win or leave Iraq, presumptive Speaker Nancy Pelosi told Fox this:

Nancy Pelosi: The point is this isn't a war to win, it's a situation to be solved. You can define winning anyway you want, but you must solve the problem.

Does that sound anything like "declare victory and leave" to anyone other than me?

Democrats want a new direction in Iraq. That direction is out, quickly, and let the Iraqi people be damned.

  1. Another thing I heard her say yesterday was that the Democrats were going to "Increase minimum wage" and "get rid of incentives for companies to move jobs overseas". Those were in the same breath.

  2. Pelosi is just going to push the agenda of trying to clean up the mess Bush made. The American people want this too, it's what we voted for in huge numbers.

If you agree that LBJ's war in Vietnam was the wrong war fought the wrong way, do you also agree that Nixon (after all the bad stuff) did the right thing in getting us out? That's what's going on here.

Yes, let the Iraqi people be damned. After all the lies and bad intel, was there ever a good reason for us to be there? Good enough for 2,800+ dead American troops? Partition the place and leave. One more fallen American there for no good reason is one too many.
