They’re better than you

I can’t believe I missed this:

“We’ve had some incidents where TSA authorities think that congresspeople should be treated like everybody else,” [Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C.] said. “Well, the fact of the matter is, we are held to a higher standard in so many other areas, and I think we need to take a hard look at exactly how the TSA interact with members of Congress.”

Of course, in a sane security environment, members of Congress would not be subjected to the same scrutiny as regular travelers. But Congress and the Obama administration are doing security “theater,” therefore congressmen do get the same crummy treatment as the rest of the American people.

But Clyburn doesn’t what to deal with the real issue; he wants special privileges for himself and his friends.

Because they’re better than you.
