Learn how to run a restaurant first

The Senate, prompted by Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein (the smarter California one), decided by voice vote to privatize the Senate food service. Last year, the Senate had to subsidize the food service to the tune of $1.3 million and the food is "noticeably sub par."

(Apparently one of the problems was that the food was so much better on the House side, that everyone went over there for lunch.)

The House privatized their food service back in the 1980s and last year actually made $1.2 million for the federal coffers last year.

And these are the same people who are so enthusiastic about taking over the health care industry?

  1. At the risk of taking the low road...I would only suggest that they wait a few months before making any rash decisions. The "all you can eat" buffet is killing the bottom line.

This may change in a few months, but I'm not cold enough to explain why. Errra...but I ahhh...errra...bet you can errrra....guess.

    ;D

    PS...Excellent Blog!!!!
