He's preyed on our fears. His name's Al Gore and 15 years ago he was tough on Saddam.
The only consistency is that Gore's delivery hasn't changed a whole lot.

I am confused. John Edwards says that there is no such as a war on terrorism, and Democrats say each day that Saddam Hussein was not involved in terrorism and that there was no reason to go after him.
So, was Al Gore lying? Or was he...gasp...playing to our fears? And why did he get into office and then spend the next eight years doing nothing about either Saddam Hussein or Osama bin Laden?
