The not-serious party

Buried in a part of today's newspaper that I'm sure a lot of people ignore is this little gem:

“Loose Change,” a documentary film that presents an alternative explanation for Sept. 11, will be shown Sunday in the Community Room of the Rancho San Diego branch library, 11555 Via Rancho San Diego. Popcorn and snacks will be served at 1:30 p.m., and the movie will begin at 2 p.m. Attendees can stay for a discussion following the movie. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided by the East County Democratic Club. For more information, call (619) 820-5321.

An alternative view? Talk about sugar-coating the downright evil that this movie seeks to ignore. For those of you unfamiliar with the movie, it accuses the Bush administration of masterminding the 9/11 attacks. Get more details here.

Democrats contend that they're serious about national security, yet the East County Democratic Club sponsors a viewing of this movie -- with free popcorn!

Please feel free to attend, and ask the Democrats exactly what the h-e-double hockeysticks they're thinking promoting this garbage.

Look how far the party of FDR has fallen.

  1. I suppose the plot to blow up airplanes from Britain has an alternative view as well. I mean, it could be a plot by the evil right wingers to subvert gullible muslim men into killing themselves to fan support for the war on terror.

I have a bridge to sell. I imagine I might find a few takers among the audience of this movie.

  2. I was surprised to find that the movie was pretty good. Sure, there are a few things wrong here and there, but there are a lot of loose ends, to be sure, ends that Bush and company don't want to talk about, such as:

--> The highjackers didn't have tickets for those flights and are not on any passenger manifests, nor on any coroner's reports. It seems it would be pretty hard to sneak onto the a plane, even before 9/11.

--> WTC-7, a 48-story skyscraper was "pulled" according to the recorded statements by the owner, and it went down as if demolished by professionals. The 9/11 commission didn't find it was important enough to even mention this building.

-->And the one I find funny, of the two planes that hit the WTC towers, none of the 4 "black boxes" were found, although some of the workers claim that they helped find three of them. Yet, the paper passport of one of the highjackers was found. I find that difficult to explain.

Comments and snickering aside, I think they did quite an interesting job on this. I understand anyone can watch it on video.google.com, just search for "Loose Change".

  3. I agree that it has some bad information, but most of it is well thought out and brings up some good questions...

I am personally working to get people to watch as many of these types of movies as possible. Each person I talk to I ask that they do the same... Its been very successful...

The problem with the way many right-wing people, and sadly often left too, will accept what the government tells them... its the same with religion, people will accept something without a single question of its validity... They will accept something as sacred for no other reason than it being sacred the day before...

This is a major problem that my friends and, for lack of a better word, "followers", are working to correct... We are informing people of the historicle reality wich almost always directly contradicts the bible and similar religious texts... So we are doing our best to spread historicle fact...

  4. It's "Historical", not "icle", but your remarks are right on the money.

The first step I think is to make sure we're on the same page regarding the conventional story, the fact that it is likely contrived. One of the key "smoking guns" is the passenger list problem. I refer you to this page:

    Your thoughts?

  5. [...] A couple weeks back I slammed the East County Democratic Club for sponsoring a showing of the 9/11 conspiracy movie “Loose Change.” If you ever wanted evidence that the nutroots are not to be trusted with national security, then their embrace of a film which blames a massive conspiracy for the 9/11 attacks and not 19 Arab terrorists should suffice.
