This is your foreign policy by Democrats

Let's take a quick moment to chuckle at the fact that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has said that she'd go to Iran to talk with Iranian President wacko/figurehead Mahmoud Imadinnerjacket without preconditions but initially wouldn't talk with President Bush about the supplemental funding bill for the troops in Iraq unless he agreed to back down on his demands regarding a timed pull-out and various pork projects.

Now to the serious stuff.

Rep. Tom Lantos, chairman of the House Foreign Relations Committee, is completely insane.

Lantos noted that "with the speaker's support,'' he has co-sponsored legislation in the House that calls for making available to all countries -- including Iran -- nuclear fuel for peaceful purposes under international oversight by establishing a "nuclear fuel bank."

"So if the Iranian president says that he is developing (nuclear material) for peaceful purposes, we are assisting him in that process,'' said Lantos, who anticipated the legislation could pass as early as May.

This is the same man who denies the holocaust -- the same holocaust that Lantos is a survivor of -- ever happened. He's vowed to "wipe Israel off the map." He kidnapped 15 British sailors and marines from Iraqi waters and paraded them before cameras for two weeks in violation of the Geneva Conventions.

And Lantos wants to give him nuclear fuel as long as he promises on a stack of Korans that he's going to use it for "peaceful purposes?"
