Shallow bench

The California gubernatorial race should be an interesting one next year. It appears that Republicans will have at least three good nominees to choose from in Tom Campbell, Meg Whitman and Chuck DeVore.

What will the Democrats offer to voters? Jerry “Gov. Moonbeam” Brown. Yesterday, San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom dropped out of the race, leaving Brown the lone announced Democratic candidate.

California is a very blue state. You’d think the Democrats would have more to offer.

  1. I din't know why you'd want another Democrat. After all, Jerry Brown is the perfect candidate. An aging hippie, a corrupt politician and son of a corrupt politician, he represents the Democrats in every way. He will promote the entire Democratic agenda of vote buying, vote stealing and hypertaxation. Who could be better?
