Thugocracy

Yesterday, Democratic Rep. Russ Carnahan of Missouri held a town hall event. Unfortunately, Rep. Carnahan didn’t really want to hear what the public had to say. Instead of opening the front doors to let those waiting to attend in, they snuck SEIU union members in the side door in a successful move to stack the crowd.

But that wasn’t the end of it. The candidate, now president, who urged his supporters to “get in their face[s]” now has his supporters physically attacking political opponents.

The St. Louis Tea Party has also posted a letter from the victim’s attorney that is a must-read.

Someone help me out here. Who exactly are the violent ones? Does anyone remember Bush 43-supporters physically attacking Code Pink types?

Does anyone believe that the national mainstream media will report on the thuggish behavior of President Obama’s supporters? Will they call on Obama to denounce this behavior and urge people to respectfully disagree?

Don’t hold your breath.

  1. I don't get it.
Alinsky or Lenin might have had long thoughts about the far-off effects of such things in the aggregate.
But it doesn't seem to me as if anybody's getting fooled or mollified by such things.
Perhaps only Carnahan thinks things have improved and his message is really getting a favorable response.
Who else is going to feel better about Obama and Carnahan because of these tactics?
