The Unctuous Juan Cole has apparently demanded a correction from The Wall Street Journal's John Fund over a quote in a column published last week.

Frankly, I'm not so sure that the "clarification" is one to improve the perception of Cole among non-BDS/non-anti-Semite readers.

Clarification

Prof. Juan Cole says that the statement in last week's column that he "calls Israel 'the most dangerous regime in the Middle East' " is libelous because what he really wrote was, "The most dangerous regime to United States interests in the Middle East is that of Ariel Sharon."

So, Iran and its nuclear weapons/state sponsor of terrorism/land of 40,000+ suicide bombers is in second place? That's some whacked-out take on the world around us.
