The campaign devolves

Some idiot over at Sen. John Kerry's campaign decided to send out a statement attacking Vice President Dick Cheney for getting a flu vaccine.

Thankfully, the press noted that Cheney should be among those getting the shot.

Cheney would fit into the government's definition of those most vulnerable to a looming influenza epidemic as he has a long history of heart disease.

Do you actually have to fail an I.Q. test to work for the Kerry campaign? This is almost criminally stupid -- as in should be committed because the individual poses a danger to the public.

This should hit the fan on talk radio and the cable news shows tomorrow, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Kerry campaign does another half-hearted mea culpa, while still blaming the Bush administration for the vaccine shortage.

This is another misstep for the Kerry campaign, it makes them look (pardon the pun) heartless for not taking into account Cheney's health. I can't say how much this will hurt them -- it depends largely on how much play this receives in the media.
