In response to DNC chairman Howard Dean's claim last week that Republicans had "never made an honest living in their lives," former Democrat vice presidential candidate John Edwards had the following to say:

The chairman of the DNC is not the spokesman for the party. He's a voice. I don't agree with it.

If the chairman of the DNS doesn't speak for the party, then who does? This is the guy your activists elected. This is like Republicans saying that President Bush doesn't speak for the Republican Party -- he's the head of the party.
