My idiot

California Sen. Barbara Boxer is reportedly considering objecting to the counting of Ohio's electoral votes because of voting irregularities.

Let us review: President Bush won Ohio by more than 100,000 votes out of about 5.5 million cast.

For this, Boxer and a few loony left liberals in the House are considering raising an objection which will needlessly delay Congress' work.

In Washington State, Democrat Christine Gregoire "won" the governor's race by 129 votes out of about 3 million cast -- and every Democrat in the state is urging citizens to "move on." Even when there are thousands more votes than voters -- but of those voters, at least two managed to reach out from the grave and vote.

Sen. Boxer would be well-advised to sit out this madness. To paraphrase the French president, this would be a good time for Boxer to shut up.

*UPDATE* I had an incorrect figure for the total number of votes cast in the Washington gubernatorial race -- the figure is correct now.
