State Sen. Abel Maldonado (R-Tax Hikes) spoke at the GOP convention last year in Denver Minneapolis and told the delegates there that his father, once a sharecropper, knew more about basic economics than Barack Obama.
Based on Maldonado's vote this morning, the voters should've elected Abel's father. (via Patterico)

An idea we need to get across to the public is that there is no such thing as an irreplaceable genius. The jobs and trainees and grant money will go to other spectacular scientists, who will do great work, without the sexual harassment. Genius is a dime-a-dozen.

@MilesTaylorUSA Congrats! I was lifelong GOP, listened to Rush Limbaugh for years, voted Republican in all Presidential elections until 2016. The Merrick Garland debacle was the last straw and I couldn’t stomach Trump at all. Voted Clinton; sorry she didn’t win.
