The new look

A couple of notes on the new design:
- A stylesheet switcher is still on my list of things to do. The delay is due to the utter complexity of the stylesheets on this template. Swapping calls for "white" (the text color) with "black" is relatively easy, but there's a lot of hexadecimal values that are more troublesome to work out.
- You'll notice that the archives/calendar only goes back 12 months. Yet, Hoystory has been around better than five years. If you're interested in going throught the archives month-by-month or day by day, you can simply click on the oldest month and then use the next and previous month buttons that appear under the calendar. I'm still working getting an archives page up where all the links will be easier to get to. In the meantime, if you're interested on what I've written on a particular subject, you can click on the appropriate category. The brighter the word, the more posts in that category. Note: There's about 2,000 posts from 2001-2004 that aren't categorized. Those are leftovers from the blogspot era and I'm slowly going back through and categorizing them. Those posts also don't have proper post titles. I've already fixed more than a thousand of those old posts. For the record: Hoystory currently has more than 4,200 posts.
- Each post now has a feature which allows you to give it one through five stars. This is a feedback mechanism that I encourage you to take advantage of. Hoystory Sr. has already indicated that he will give every post a single star just to keep my ego in check, so don't be shy.
- Also in the block at the top of each post is a "Share This" feature. This new tool will allow you to add posts to Digg, del.icio.us and other social bookmarking sites. It also will allow you to easily e-mail selected posts to your friends
Those of you who don't like the color scheme, rest assured that I hear you and am working on a fix. It will probably be a week or so away though, so bear with me. Matt, I've been reading your site loyally for about 4 years, and I will continue. But the white type on black background is very hard to read for more than a minute or two. It's a personal preference thing...I have trouble with it. I hope your final site design returns to the dark type on light background.
