Plame liar

Former CIA agent Valerie Plame appeared before a House committee this afternoon and played the victim.

I won't go line by line, but let's just say that just about everything Plame said was a lie, including "the" and "and."

Tom Maguire over at Just One Minute has a post up with helpful links, including this hilarious bit of insight into Plame's claim that she had nothing to do with sending her husband to Niger -- despite the bipartisan findings of the Senate Intelligence Committee. Plame said that it was a mysterious man who came by her desk and suggested her husband for the job.

Rove and Miers discuss firing 93 US attorneys.

Rove and Miers than bring the idea to Bush; Bush asks Rove to send an email to DoJ.

Rove then invites the DoJ rep to the White House for a meeting, and introduces him at the meeting.

Can we all agree that Rove was not involved in the process? Please.

The question that no one asked was this: Was Plame concerned that her husband writing an Op-Ed piece in the New York Times regarding a mission she -- however peripherally -- had suggested him for might result in her cover being blown?

If this never occurred to Plame, then we need smarter people working at the CIA.
