Flag desecration amendment fails in Senate

Yesterday a constitutional amendment that would give the Congress the power to ban flag desecration failed by a single vote.

Good.

Why?

Because I'm lazy and it's a heck of a lot easier to spot the idiots by watching them burning the flag than it is to listen to what they're saying.

Frankly, if Congress really wants to protect the flag from bozos, all they would have to do is pass a law that would make defending the flag an absolute defense to murder, manslaughter, assault or malicious wounding charges.

@PolitiFact Your tweet is misleading, PolitiFact, given that you based your "False" rating on the supposedly absolute nature of the claim.

Your tweet suggests birth control is definitely at risk regardless of whether the claim was expressed in absolute terms.

Honestly, Politifact has become such a ridiculous joke. The conclusion admits that "no state has banned forms of contraception," but rates the statement false anyways because there has been some discussion about whether the morning-after pill could be considered an abortifacient. https://twitter.com/PolitiFact/status/1557538958992605187

PolitiFact @PolitiFact

A GOP talking point suggests birth control is not at risk. Efforts in states like Missouri to ban certain types of birth control suggests otherwise. https://bit.ly/3p9QZX3

"Nobody is above the law," unless you get held in contempt of Congress for lying about running guns to Mexico and your role in targeting conservatives with audits. You'll get off scot free but you'll get charged for it if you worked for Donald Trump

The most interesting thing in this article was the pass rates for his students on the AP Gov exam. They were abysmal. In 2019, 79 students took it. One passed. ONE!

He wasn't teaching civics with a left-wing slant. He was doing frosh dorm bullshitting.
