The trifecta

I tell you, politics doesn’t get a whole lot better than this.

First, we have Barack “I inherited this mess from Bush” Obama telling high school students to take responsibility for their own actions and to not blame others for their failures.

Don’t believe me?

How exactly can one be so completely unaware of the words that have been coming out of your mouth for the past year and a half to let those lines pass your lips in this speech?

Second, we have Bill Clinton demonstrating that it takes one to know one.

Former President Clinton has sent out a fundraising letter on behalf of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee under his own name warning that Republicans are trying to "derail' President Obama's agenda.

Not much unexpected there.

But along with the letter, Clinton has included a flyer from the DSCC that's bound to raise eyebrows.

"DSCC funds go towards efforts to unseat far-right Republican senators like admitted sinner David Vitter..." the flyer says, referring to the Louisiana senator who admitted patronizing a prostitution service when he was in the House.

First off, if anyone says they’re not a sinner, they’re either the biggest liar on the face of the Earth or they’ve had a complete psychotic break with reality. Second, you’d think that a man with Clinton’s history would be a little more gracious when dealing with fellow sinners.

Finally, you have Florida governor and former GOP Senate candidate Charlie Crist living the old joke: If you don’t like his principles, just wait he’s got others.

In the latest development in the race for the open U.S. Senate seat in Florida, Governor Charlie Crist is coming under fire for removing the pro-life section of his campaign website. This comes on the day the legislature sent him a bill that would allow women to see an ultrasound of their baby before an abortion.

Crist has already hinted he will veto the legislation, which also allows Florida to opt out of some of the abortion funding under the new national health care law President Barack Obama signed.

That he would potentially veto a pro-life bill with broad support from voters is another indication of his strategy to leave the Republican Party and run as an independent.

Does Crist seriously think this is going to win him votes? If you were a Democrat, would you trust him to represent your interests? Would you trust him to keep any promise he makes? Charlie Crist is always looking out for No. 1: the voter himself.
