Pro-life activist murdered

A pro-life activist was shot dead yesterday outside Owosso High School in Owosso, Mich.

Prosecutors say the man charged in deaths of an anti-abortion activist and a businessman told them he wanted to kill third person.

Harlan Drake, 33, of Owosso, was arraigned this afternoon on two counts of first-degree murder, one count of using a gun in commission of a crime, and carrying a gun with the intent to commit a crime.

James Pouillon, 63, was shot multiple times at around 7:30 a.m. as he protested across from Owosso High School, police said.

About the same time, gravel company owner Mike Fuoss, 61, was found dead in his office at Fuoss Gravel in Owosso Township.

Colbry said authorities do not believe that the two homicides and the third plot were related, saying, “They stemmed from individual grievances Drake had with the victims.”

Colbry said the grievances were not known in detail, but that the killing of Mr. Puillon was related to the latter’s anti-abortion protest. But he said, “The defendant was offended by the manner of Mr. Puillon’s message.” [emphasis added]

This is just more evidence that the disdain and hatred aimed at pro-life activists by the higher education system, the mainstream media and the various talking heads on the left is driving people to kill.

Or maybe, just maybe, this is evidence that there are hate-filled wackos out there.

When a “pro-life” nut murders an abortionist, the whole movement is tarred.

When a “pro-choice” nut kills a pro-life activist, it’s just evidence that the guy is a nut.

In both instances, they’re both nuts. But the liberal elite don’t see it that way. Evidence: There’s been no statement from the White House decrying Puilon’s murder like there was when abortionist George Tiller was murdered.
