Today is the United States' Independence Day.
This is ofttimes referred to as America's birthday. The "birth" occurred on July 4, 1776.
Debate: Is this America's 233rd birthday or its 232nd?

You could make a case for 234th if you included both 1776 and 2009. I can't see how you could get 232 unless you exclude both which makes no sense. But it makes no difference, although I'd vote 233 (current year - birth year or 2009-1776 ). I'd not argue with another calculation and wish the country and all her citizens and legal residents good cheer and great fun.
Sorry, don't understand the question. Isn't it obviously 233? Where did 232 come from? And 234 doesn't make much sense either.
I was born on March 22 1952. On March 22 1953 I was one year old, no? Nobody says I was 2 years old.
