There are certain statements that usually get you fired. I knew a guy who got fired for telling his boss the infamous "Dick Cheney" line.

Voters should fire Rep. Bob Filner for this line:

“I am a congressman and can do whatever I want,” [immigration supervisor Juan J.] Ramirez quoted Filner as saying.

That's it. That's all that should be required to toss Filner out on his rear end.

I don't care what your party or position is -- when a public servant utters that statement, it's time to go.
