I got home and flipped the TV to CSPAN-2. It's about 2 a.m. PDT and Pennsylvania Sen. Bob Casey is speaking.
It sounds a lot like: "Blah blah blah six months since the surge started and I don't think any reasonable person can say it has been anything other than a failure."
And that's all I could take. The truth, of course, is that all of the forces for the surge -- which by all accounts is having a positive impact on the total number of dead terrorists -- have been on the ground in Iraq for less than a month.
I've said it before, but the Democrats are so politically invested in an American defeat, that one is tempted to question their patriotism.
Michelle Malkin is liveblogging the goings on -- she's got a stronger stomach than I do.
