Is it lazy reporting? Ignorance? Or partisan politics? The Associated Press sent out this story on the Senate's dumbest member, California's own Barbara Boxer (who narrowly edged out Washington Sen. Patty Murray for the title), who is poised to take over the Senate Environment Committee.
When informed that the Senate Enviornment Committee was concerned with the entire enviornment, and not just the environment in the Senate, Boxer called a press conference to do something about global warming -- shutting her trap wasn't among the steps to be taken to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
Getting back to the AP and President Bush's 10-year term, the story includes this gem:
Democrats and environmentalists have criticized Bush for refusing to send the Senate the 1997 Kyoto accord for ratification. It requires 35 industrialized countries to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 5 percent below 1990 levels by 2012.
Yep, let's bring up Kyoto again, even though President Bill Clinton -- the guy who was actually in office in 1997 -- wouldn't send it to the Senate after the Senate voted 95-0 in an advisory vote against the proposed treaty.
If Bush sent the dang thing to the Senate and it got handily defeated -- as it surely would -- could we get the enviro-wackos to shut up about it and the AP to do some honest reporting?

Wow, bitter much? Correct me if I'm wrong but this post seems to be mostly misogynistic Boxer-bashing with very little point aside from that.
I guess this is going to be the tone of discourse from the Right now that the Dems have taken Congress? Childish name-calling? Oh wait, that was the tone before the election too. Never mind.
