If you're not up-to-date on the case of Giuliana Sgrena of Italy's communist newspaper Il Manifesto, I encourage you to head over to Little Green Footballs and just keep scrolling. There's two pertinent facts everyone should keep in mind about this story are:

First, the Italian government paid approximately $10 million in ransom to get Sgrena back. How many suicide bombers can you buy with $10 million -- and how many American soldiers will die because of this.

Second, Sgrena claims that she was "targeted" by U.S. troops. Considering that the Americans knew nothing about the Italians' terrorist payoff before Sgrena was freed, and the fact that Sgrena is still using perfectly good oxygen, there's no evidence she was targeted.
