The Mexican government has once again decided that it's good public policy to distribute a guide -- with a DVD -- informing Mexican citizens how to illegally enter the United States.
This sort of thing raises barely a whiff of outrage in Washington -- and certainly not from anyone in the Bush administration.
It made me wonder, however, at what sort of response a guide issued by the federal government to American businesses detailing how to avoid paying illegal immigrants minimum wage would go over -- like a lead balloon, no doubt.
Why should the Mexican government be held to a lower standard? "The soft bigotry of low-expectations" comes to mind.
