Time to retire

Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson is obviously part of some convoluted Karl Rove-inspired dirty tricks plot. The religious broadcaster and former presidential candidate said that President Bush had told him that there would be no casualties from the invasion of Iraq.

Robertson is obviously mistaken -- he can't be lying, because he supports President Bush. Though Democrats believe President Bush is dumb, but no one believes he's that dumb.

Of course, what this whole episode reveals is that there's a reason why Robertson never had a prayer of becoming president. Apparently there is some intermittent glitch that causes his mouth to day things before they've been checked out by his brain.
