I know I shouldn't be doing this
Last week I said that the media would be better off just ignoring Michael Berg, the father of Nicholas Berg who was decapitated by deceased terrrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. Unfortunately, Berg is running for Congress from Delaware on the Green Party ticket, so the press is going to have to pay attention to him until at least November.
Despite that fact, I should practice what I preach and just ignore Berg, after this post.
In the wake of Zarqawi's death, Berg had this to say to the Associated Press.
"Zarqawi felt my son's breath on his hand as held the knife against his throat. Zarqawi had to look in his eyes when he did it," Berg added, pausing to collect himself. "George Bush sits there glassy-eyed in his office with pieces of paper and condemns people to death. That to me is a real terrorist."
I'm sorry, but that is just completely, wacked-out, drooling, mumbling about your red Swingline stapler crazy.
And the thing is, he isn't a lone nut spewing this sort of vitriol. The grassroots of the Democrat Party want the United States to lose in Iraq. They want us to lose in Afghanistan. They're the 21st century's isolationists, confident that if we just don't bother anyone, they won't bother us.

Those are the people who think that this is a war worth fighting. When you loose a relative whose life you can never replace, maybe then you will understand what war really is. I see so many of you people who are sitting in your nice little homes, with you nice little stuff and all of your family intact and it makes me want to take you and make you feel the pain and sorrow of losing family to a lie. Read up on your facts sir. Afganistan was warranted due to terror, Bush wanted Sadam gone to protect the mighty interest in oil. If you think that he gives a damn about you or any of your family, or is protecting you in any way then perhaps you are wacked, rabid and a sheep to boot. Obviously you are one of the many mindless that Karl and co have used their tactics to inflame the feeble of mind and character, whip them into a patriotic frenzy. It is people like yourself that are moving this country to a Dictatorship. Americans are now scared and are handing over any rights that they had to a mutant that is a waste of space as far as I am concerned, because he says that he is keeping them safe. They can send people to fight this thing, but what do some of us have left? A hole in your life, poverty due to the fact that your partner is lying dead and all around you people are saying that this is worth it. Send your son, daughter, wife or husband. See how you feel when they come back in a box. See if you can truly tell yourself after sacrificing your son/daughter that the price is worth it and all who oppose, even those of us who have lost loved ones, are truly " wacked-out, drooling, mumbling about your red Swingline stapler crazy."
