My not-so-secret media takeover plot takes its next step later today as I guest host Dave Congalton's radio show for two hours from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on KVEC 920 AM.

From 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., we'll talk to Craig DeLuz of the Firearms Policy Coalition about California gun laws, lawsuits against those laws and new laws being debated in Sacramento.

From 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Steve Breen, an old friend of mine and the two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning editorial cartoonist for the San Diego Union-Tribune will talk about cartooning in the age of Trump and his children's books, including "Woodpecker Wants a Waffle," and "Unicorn Executions and Other Crazy Stuff My Kids Make Me Draw."
