The San Luis Obispo Tribune has published my latest column on school administrators and their unthinking adherence to "the rules."

The long and short of it: When this kid wants to go to prom, you find a way to make it happen.

The community has rallied to put on a special prom for Jared Springer, and he also got an invite to the San Luis Obispo High School prom, where administrators weren't looking for a way to bar him.

Actually, no serious person is sure what the conservative majority will do here. That's common in these politically charged cases. Meanwhile, literally nobody doubts what the *Democrat-appointed* justices will do. Doing some research and checked out @TheDispatchFC front page. It turns out the answer to every single one of these is "No." But one doesn't have that simple explanation on the main page. Why?
