Last week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu finally got the treatment at the White House that the U.S. usually gives to its friends. When Netanyahu was last at the White House, the United States’ best ally in the Middle East was denied a press conference, photo op and even a handshake and a meal as he was unceremoniously dumped to the curb for not acquiescing to President Obama’s demands.

Many on the American pro-Israeli right and Israelis themselves saw the outrageous treatment of the Israeli’s as evidence of personal, anti-Israel setiment by President Obama – and evidence that Obama shares some of the anti-Semitic views of his former pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

It turns out that this isn’t true, as Obama told an Israeli TV station:

During the interview Wednesday, when confronted with the anxiety that some Israelis feel toward him, Obama said that "some of it may just be the fact that my middle name is Hussein, and that creates suspicion."

Yes, you Israelis are so stupid. You weren’t looking at Israel’s actual treatment by the Obama administration, you were just looking at his middle name, you bigots.

At the joint press conference the Israeli prime minister was finally granted, an Israeli reporter asked the following question and got an interesting response:

Q    Mr. President, in the past year, you distanced yourself from Israel and gave a cold shoulder to the Prime Minister.  Do you think this policy was a mistake?  Do you think it contributes to the bashing of Israel by others?  And is that -- you change it now, and do you trust now Prime Minister Netanyahu?

And if I may, Mr. Prime Minister, specifically, did you discuss with the President the continuing of the freezing of settlements after September?  And did you tell him that you’re going to keep on building after this period is over?

PRESIDENT OBAMA:  Well, let me, first of all, say that the premise of your question was wrong and I entirely disagree with it.

Who are you going to believe? Me or your lying eyes?
