Janet Napolitano says her agency is working with groups across the United States to try to deflect any backlash against American Muslims following Thursday's rampage by Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, a Muslim who reportedly expressed growing dismay over the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The shootings left 13 people dead and 29 wounded.

Napolitano was in the United Arab Emirates on Sunday for talks with security officials and a meeting with women university students in Abu Dhabi.

The only way there will ever be an anti-Muslim backlash in this country is if these idiots make it their main duty to ensure there is no anti-Muslim backlash.

The thing that enrages me the most about this whole situation is the idea put forth by the media and a bunch of PC-elites in the administration that radical Islam had nothing to do with Maj. Nidal Hasan’s actions last week.

You don’t see this sort of covering for Christianity when some “pro-life” nut goes and kills an abortionist.

For the record: If Hasan isn’t executed following a fair trial, then something is very wrong.
