Joining me on the unemployment line

Director of the White House Military Office, Louis Caldera, has resigned. Caldera famously authorized a low-level flyover of lower Manhattan with one of the jumbo jets used to transport the president and two fighter jets causing a big scare.
I did nothing so egregiously stupid to lose my job.

Not likely as he is on a leave of absence from the University of New Mexico and still drawing several hundred thousand dollars stipend from steping down as University President. He is still a professor in the Law Department, with annual salary of over a hundred thousand per year.
Matt, my condolences. I'm sure to them, you and the others laid off were just expenses that had to be trimmed. It's certainly not a personal reflection on you. Best wishes, something better is out there.
I know Louis from way back when; he'll land on his feet. I'm guessing you will, too.
I have a suspicion that he's taking the fall for someone far higher up the White House food chain, and I also suspect that he's glad to get out now.
