Unindicted co-conspirators the Council on American Islamic Relations issued a demand that GOP presidential candidate Sen. John McCain appoint a Muslim adviser to his campaign and, if elected, to his White House staff.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today called on presidential candidate Sen. John McCain to appoint a Muslim campaign advisor and a Muslim White House aide if elected in 2008.

CAIR's request came following McCain's remarks that America is a "Christian" nation and that he would not be comfortable with a Muslim in the White House.

...

[CAIR National Legislative Director Corey] Saylor said Muslim advisors could offer McCain accurate information on issues related to Islam and the American Muslims.

*sigh* What's next? Democrats demanding that McCain hire a Democrat campaign adviser and White House aide because McCain doesn't think a Democrat should be elected to the White House either?
