If there was ever any doubt (there isn't) that the New York Times editorial page was partisan rather than principled, just check out today's lead editorial on New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer's use of state police for political purposes -- and imagine President Bush had behaved similarly.

To say that the Times criticisms of Spitzer are muted and tame would be perhaps overstating them.
