Speck, log

I just caught former Clinton hatchet-man Paul Begala on CNN's "Situation Room" decrying the "personal attacks" that the Bush administration is making against Democrats (who are peddling the "Bush lied, people died" bolshevick storytelling) and their effort to rewrite history. In an effort to back up his claim that the GOP is doing the "politics of personal destruction" and the aforementioned "personal attacks" he refers to video of Vice President Dick Cheney from last night and describes him as a "fat, corpulent guy in a tuxedo."

For Mr. Begala's edification and education:

"Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? "Or how can you say to your brother, `Let me take the speck out of your eye,' and behold, the log is in your own eye? "You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye." -- Matthew 7:3-5

I would also like to note, for the record, that the Bush administration's pushback against those who claim that the intelligence was warped or massaged or tinkered with is a purely political exercise. It is not, as Begala likes to claim, personal.
