I watched it -- and frankly it was a big ho-hum. Bush said nothing that he hadn't said before -- he was right then, he's right now. We will leave Iraq when victory has been achieved. Victory is defined as a relatively stable, functioning democracy able to defend its borders and police its interior.

"More of the same?" is a question every Iraq skeptic and anti-war zealot asks. "Yes" is the answer. More Iraqi soldiers and policemen trained. More Iraqis working at rebuilding the country. More Iraqi citizens learning and practicing democracy. More terrorists and insurgents being captured and killed. And, unfortunately, more American servicemen dying.

Winning isn't easy, but it's important for America's long-term security.

Bush's speech was nothing new, and, predictably, neither was the response of the establishment media and some Democrats to it.

So, in all, a big yawn.
