Religion of Peace update

I must admit I was amused a couple of years back when Promise Keepers was in the news all of the time. Liberal feminists who knew little or nothing about Christianity went on and on about how it was some sort of evil plot to subjugate women. It wasn't, and frankly I never heard a bad thing said about it by any woman whose husband went.

Compare that with this story on a Kuwaiti man who, after returning from the spiritual high one gets from the Hajj -- murders his daughter.

A Kuwaiti man has reportedly confessed to killing his 14-year-old daughter because he believed she was having sex.

Adnan Enezi - an employee in the Islamic Affairs ministry - had just returned from the pilgrimage to Mecca.

He allegedly bound and blindfolded his daughter, Haifa, knelt her down in front of her two brothers and sister and then cut her throat.

Forensic tests showed Haifa was still a virgin, police sources said. Mr Enezi is being questioned about the case.

Don't expect to hear any denunciations from womens' rights groups -- they're still busy with Harvard President Larry Summers.
