I'm not going to do extensive commentary about the flare up on whether Bush administration officials illegally leaked the name of Valerie Plame Wilson to get back at her mint-tea-sipping sleuthing husband. I do, however, want to point out one thing in The New York Times editorial on the subject.
So far, some of the White House's actions are not very reassuring, including the 11-hour lag between the time the Justice Department notified the White House that it was under investigation and the time the White House ordered its staff to preserve records.
Eleven hours? To paraphrase Shakespeare: Givest thou me a break.
