ABC News' chief anchor George Stephanopolous is not a journalist. He's a Democratic operative—never forget that.
The Free Beacon reports that the former communications director for President Bill Clinton donated $50,000 to the Clinton foundation from 2013 to 2014. This comes just a few weeks after Stephanopolous aggressively grilled "Clinton Cash" author Peter Schweizer on his past work for Republican politicians, but neglected at the same time to disclose his own, continuing, ties to the troubled Clinton foundation.
For those with short memories, it was Stephanopolous who kicked off the 2012 Democratic "war on women" theme with a question to Mitt Romney in a GOP debate about banning birth control—something that not a single Republican running for president was interested in doing.
Stephanopolous won't be punished for his failure to disclose his conflict of interest, because he's a little sorry
ABC has been chosen to host a Republican presidential primary debate. It would be a mistake for the GOP to allow Stephanopolous to be one of the moderators.
*UPDATE* It turns out the correct amount of Stephanopolous donations to the Clinton slush fund is $75,000, not $50,000.
