The San Francisco Chronicle reports that the Bay Area comes in 2nd and 3rd in a “smartest place in the country” list. The list is based upon the preponderance of college degrees in a particular metro area.

I’ve know lots of college graduates who shouldn’t be allowed to have scissors – the belief that a college degree necessarily indicates high intelligence is a false one. The right major and a little dedication will get you a college degree – it doesn’t mean you’re smart.
