I think she was serious

Miss California USA pageant co-director Shanna Moakler resigned yesterday because unattainable Hoystory girlfriend Carrie Prejean got to keep her crown. Moakler made the following statement:

“I cannot with a clear conscience move forward supporting and promoting the Miss Universe organization when I no longer believe in it, or the contracts I signed committing myself as a youth,” Moakler’s statement continued. “I want to be a role model for young woman [sic] with high hopes of pageantry, but now feel it more important to be a role model for my children. I am sorry and hope I have not let any young supporters down but wish them the best of luck in fulfilling their dreams.”

Moakler is on her high horse, somehow equating her own views with those of a role model and by extension Carrie Prejean's as not worthy of modeling.

For the record: If Moakler is your role model, then make sure you know what exactly you're modeling.

  1. It's amazing how somebody so shallow can actually be hypocritical, but Moakler manages to pull it off well.
