The New Republic appears to still be on their August recess hide-in-a-hole and are, at last report, still standing by their since-discredited Pvt. Scott Thomas Beauchamp.
Author and reporter Richard Miniter has what may be the most in-depth account of the TNR/Beauchamp fiasco over at Pajamas Media.
Among a string of disturbing revelations is this: Beauchamp, who was apparently engaged to four different women over the course of five years, may have married his wife, Elspeth Reeve, primarily because she worked at TNR and could help him get published.
Miniter's work confirm's Greyhawk's analysis over at The Mudville Gazette.
