Lots of Explosions

Just got back from seeing the latest installment in the "Die Hard" series of films, "Live Free or Die Hard." It's the first of the films to be rated PG-13, largely due to a massive reduction in the number of four-letter words. Yes, there's the infamous Yipee Ki Yay line, but it isn't followed by any Oedipal references.

The film starts out fast and doesn't let up for the 2+ hours it runs. Justin Long, probably most famous for his work as the Apple Guy in the Apple vs. Windows ads does a pretty good job with nary an Apple in sight.

While quite a bit of the action is unrealistic, as long as you realize that you're going into something that's based on an almost cartoonish alternate reality, you'll enjoy it.

  1. In Europe, it's being played as "Diehard 4". Apparently, "Live Free or Die Hard" was too imperialistic.
