Because I can't make this stuff up

Just about every teacher has said it at one point in time or another: "There's no such thing as a stupid question." It's a lie. There are stupid questions and there are stupid answers, and then there's this gem from the reporter for the Corpus Christi Caller-Times who broke the story.

With just a little better reporting, she could've given a much better answer. For example: "I've talked to hunters who say that when you're coming up to join hunters on a 'firing line' that for courtesy and safety purposes, you need to let them know you're joining them. But the ultimate responsibility lies with the person pulling the trigger to know what is in their line of fire."
