Maureen Dowd and moral authority

Last week I took a swing at New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd's saintification of the loony liberal left's favorite mom, Cindy Sheehan.

It should come as little surprise that it only takes a few days for bloggers to turn Dowd's moral authority back on her.

It also comes as little surprise that most of the mainstream media continues to soft-peddle just how far out in left field Sheehan's views are. The fact that journalists are still hanging on Sheehan's every word just goes to show that the silly season is in full swing.
