Idiot of the day

Quoted on Fox News' "Special Report with Brit Hume" in a report on the nomination of John Roberts to the Supreme Court we have our Idiot of the day: Debra Ness of the National Partnership for Women.

The right of women to vote, the right to privacy, all of these are rights that Americans hold dear, but some might argue are not rights that may be easily found in the Constitution.

I'll give her the "right to privacy," but the right of women to vote?

Section 1. The right of the citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.

Section 2. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

Hoystory hopes that it has provided Ms. Ness with a "clue."

Ness graduated summa cum laude from Drew University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology. After completing graduate work in social welfare and public health policy, she received her Masters of Science from Columbia University School of Social Work.

Right about now her grade from her high school civics class would be more informative.
