Judith Miller in jail

New York Times reporter Judith Miller is in jail for refusing to reveal the name of one of her sources to a grand jury. This is as it should be. The grand jury has every right to demand the name from her; she has every right to refuse to give it.

It's really too bad that it's gone this far, but this is what happens with unaccountable special prosecutors. And, frankly, the media has merely reaped what it has sown as it attempted to make hay out of a non-crime.

Maybe next time sober judgment will outweigh sensationalism, but probably not.
