While cleaning up my bathroom last night in anticipation of my parents dropping by, I discovered 11 absentee ballots from Washington State behind the toilet. I don't know how they got there, but I've contacted election officials in King County to see if they're interested in adding them to their recount.

On a slightly more serious note: Washington is the new Florida. The state supreme court has opened another can of worms with its decision today that a "recount" is indistinguishable from a "recanvassing." As the Yahoo News headling describes them, the "new" ballots can be counted in heavily Democrat King County, but using the court's logic, all counties can now go back and add ballots -- including hundreds of military absentee ballots that were mailed out and returned too late to meet "arbitrary deadlines" (aka state law).

So, King County will add in 700+ ballots and pad state Attorney General Christine Gregoire's lead, and many other counties will go back and add in (Republican-leaning) military ballots and the mess will continue.

The last win-win outcome for the state of Washington (as suggested by old man Hoy) is to simply have the two candidates flip a coin (once) and declare that individual the next governor.

Check out SoundPolitics for more details -- including details on how Democrats in King County stole the election.
