I just picked up Stephen Coonts' latest novel, "Saucer: The Conquest." It's a sequel, so read the first (simply entitled "Saucer") before starting this one. I'm not completely finished with the book yet, but a couple of items struck me as a blogger.

First, the bad guy is French.

Second, the bad guy's last name is Artois. Shuffle a few of the letters and you'll see how I'm really pronouncing that name as I read.

I'm not saying that Coonts has an opinion about certain lefty bloggers, but if I was writing a novel and I wanted to take a dig at someone, that's how I'd do it.
